Many moons ago, I lived in NYC and had a career in the theater. But, when my Grandfather fell sick, I moved back home to Michigan to help care for him. After Gramps passed, I realized that I couldn’t bear to be far from my family. I’m the eldest of 4 sisters and I wanted to be available to them. I stumbled into a sales career through proprietary education and I LOVED IT! To talk with people about starting their career with nontraditional education? I’m in! Quickly, I rose the ranks in every school admissions department. I had all the titles: Director of Admissions, Corporate Director of Admissions, Campus President. Life. Was. Good
Then, my Mother had an AWFUL experience buying her dream lake home. That really got my wheels turning. Why wasn’t this realtor advocating for my Mom? Why wasn’t she going to bat for her, like I was with my students? This opened my mind to the possibility of Real Estate. Shortly after that experience, my Husband and I ended up at dinner with some friends. One friend talked about starting a side gig and making great money. “What was it?” I asked. The answer? Real Estate, of course. Now I knew that Real Estate was in the cards! If I could help people get started in new careers, I could surely help them with their home. I had to.
My goal is to give you Real Estate truth bombs. I’m here to guide you through a very emotional, sometimes chaotic Real Estate transaction. Honesty is essential, even when it stings. In the words of Robert Kiyosaki, “There are those who make things happen, there are those who watch things happen and there are those who say ‘what happened?’” I make things happen.
